About Mrs. Gonzalez
I am originally from Austin, and I am a proud Longhorn! Although born in Austin, my family moved to East Texas when I was 12. While Lufkin was a quaint place to live, my heart has always been in Austin, so I high-tailed it back home shortly after graduating from high school. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas in 2003 and have been teaching elementary school for the past thirteen years. I have taught 3rd and 4th grades, mostly in Austin ISD schools, and I also taught for one year in Irving ISD.
Earlier this year, my husband and I sold our home in Austin and started building a new home here in Dripping. This is my FIRST year teaching in Dripping Springs, and I look forward to living and working here!
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my HUGE extended family, reading, cooking, and watching movies. Currently, I'm trying to teach myself how to use iMovie (I had no idea how laborious the editing process is!) and my next project will be to learn how to use my new sewing machine.
